Pros
Training was phenomenal, when they had the full training experience not the slimmed down rocket university they have now. Ive met some of the nicest people ever at rocket. Holding on to those still there… the office is nice. The fun events have dwindled but its a relief from generic boring office culture. I feel that former rocket u trainers were more fit for being a director
Cons
So heres the deal, its sales. But the culture immensely changed when they finalized going public and merging with mr cooper. Pay went DOWN again while quotas go up. They say the leads are great, they are simply not unless you’re in the top 10% of bankers in the company. So many people hate the job now, even those top bankers. The SVP tried to crowd control by making a post saying things are great. They’re not, people are leaving left and right. The directors and managers (no leaders here) will literally run sales tactics on their employees. Work every weekend , have no life. Want to go home after already working 10 hours?… guess what, the SVP said you are illegally held another 2 hours until you hit a daily performance goal. To top it off, they are making us sell everything even the dumbest of loans. This is super unethical. Then the blame is on the baker when the sale that should have never happened falls through. This is no exaggeration, its very real here what im saying. Im compiling from a large number of bankers lives here. It was a beautiful place a time ago, not now.
