Pros

Fun lively office with lots of people (depending on your team). Good central location in downtown Detroit. Good benefits. Top end technology and innovation. Doing great things for the city of Detroit.

Cons

Culture was forced down your throat. Then wanted people to "drink the cool-aide" and they wanted "yes" people. Turnover rate is like none other I have ever seen. Wasteful spending of money on lavish events where employees get drunk. Overwork most employees. Criticisms, even in a constructive form, is frowned upon.

Pros

Really cool desks. At the push of a button you can set it up so you sit in your chair working or a different button raise it so you can stand and work. Also, there is a minimum of 2 monitors at all desks, at times I even had 3.

Cons

Crazy hours. You are required to work at least 50 hours a week before you leave Friday. Then you have to work 2 Saturdays a month. Realistically I was averaging almost 60 hours a week. This work load is not seasonal, it is year round. If it is a week with a holiday, you still need to get 40 hours in. The overtime pay is a joke. I was there a year and I still don't understand it. It is less than minimum wage. You have to work downtown Detroit. I know that some of our employees have been assaulted walking to and from their cars, BTW the average walking time to get from your designated parking garage and your office building is 5 - 15 minutes.

Pros

- Nobody else would give me a job - Good money for no degree - I have met great people - The company is strong and growing - I love the clients and would love to better the company with that love. - People need help and the clients need it, Quicken Loans has the lowest default rate on residential mortgages.

Cons

- There is no feeling of importance with the company [expendable] - High turnover, hiring 200 a month, after 90 days, less than 50% remain - Rant- I am responsible for over 300 loans. I must confirm over 50 clients every day. I am only able to consider conversations that end in client agreement confirmed. More emphasis is place on numeric regulation than quality client care. On my team, I have the highest client satisfaction rating on my team, but middle management is impressed only by numbers of clients contacted.
