Pros

There are no pros at here.

Cons

I do not understand how this company gets on the Atlanta best companies year after year. Focus on updating technology, not making women wear stockings, and update the dress code. The employees have all been here ages they are not willing to hear any suggestions on ways to approve the company. Stop laying off people at the end of the year just to balance the books. If you are anyone in technology run for the hills, go somewhere where you can be appreciated.

We appreciate you expressing your concerns. Rollins winning a Top Workplace Award is primarily based on an employee satisfaction survey done conducted by a third party. Our employees are the ones that have rated us a Top Workplace and cited appreciation by their managers, but it is unfortunate to hear that you do not agree. In fact, the IT group had among the highest department ratings. As a company, we are looking at ways that we can update and change. For example, we have just implemented a new HRIS system where employees have access to more information than ever before. Also, we are working on implementing additional technology but want to make sure we are doing it at a sustainable rate and that the business is still running smoothly while implementing new systems. As for appearance standards, Rollins believes that neat clothing and grooming standards present a professional business appearance to our customers who trust us in their homes and place of business. However, we do periodically review this policy among others and make recommended adjustments as needed. And lastly, we AGREE that upper level management should be a little closer to the employees. As a result we have started hosting "Executive Connections Meet & Greets" which allows employees, opportunities to network with, get to know, and voice their concerns with our executive leadership. We had a great turn out with the first session and are hosting our second this month.

Pros

Financially stable, growth focused, tried and true processes.

Cons

Male dominated culture with no active initiatives for change. Antiquated dress code (ties, pantyhose, closed toed shoes), lack of flexible working options (remote, telecommute, flex hours), lack of professional development paths for current Marketing employees. Result: it's difficult to attract and retain high value employees due to the culture.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback as a former employee. We too agree that we have the BEST PEOPLE! The growth and stability of our industry has great financial benefits as you mention, but the other side of the coin is that transformational change for such a long standing business will take some time to see. We also understand your concerns about our particular industry of pest management being male dominated. However, the company has been making positive steps in the direction of promoting and hiring female leaders over the last few years. In Marketing specifically, we have 2 of the 4 top leadership positions held by female leaders and we are an even a mix throughout the greater team. Also, regarding Employee Satisfaction Survey you mentioned, we have taken this employee feedback seriously and improved our efforts here. For example, employees are able to request staggered scheduling, we have a very strong open door culture among the team, the CMO conducts skip level coffee meetings and we've made progress with the cross-functional Recognition Committee this year. Additionally, the key focus area for the Marketing leadership team for the second half of the year is the work related to employee career pathing and growth opportunities with our organization. The company’s marketing resources are aligned functionally to each line of business to better serve the customer's needs, but we need to do a better job of communicating what that means for each individual's professional development. We appreciate your contributions while you were with the company and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

They provide good health insurance.

Cons

We are forced to work 6 / 11-13 hour days every week. Today all roads are iced over. City offices closed, schools closed, news said unless jobs that are not important to lives should stay home. Orkin had employees be there for 7 am meeting. Never available for family events, forced to work holidays. I never am able to use all my vacation days. No coverage! I believe in giving 100% to my job. I love most of my clients. They really should give us a life with a livable wage! I pray we are safe on these roads. If not be prepared for accidents , hopefully no injuries!
