Pros

The pay is good, though standard for BigLaw. Benefits are solid. Colleagues are generally brilliant and hard-working. Great opportunity for substantive work early to gain experience. Tons of training available at any time.

Cons

Bonuses are generally lockstep, and the additional bonus for vastly exceeding minimum hours is not much. No 401K matching. Colleagues are very intense and demanding, partnership on down. While there are always differences between individuals, there is a general expectation that you will absolutely do whatever it takes to get a request done. Way, way too much work. This is standard across BigLaw, but it really could be alleviated by trusting staffing professionals more and by hiring more people to spread the work across.

Pros

Generous time off- 35 hour work week, pension which is now unheard of.

Cons

Behind the times in technology and with self service options. Things are much slower pace when it comes to getting things done.

Pros

The benefits were pretty good.

Cons

Managers were terrible, would throw lower level staff under the bus to save themselves.
