Pros

The only best reason to work for this company is receiving store discount.

Cons

Working with in this district Ross is not the best place to work at only because the management last of so many things. Management lacks of communication with the employees aside from having group meetings. Very hectic stressful environment.

Pros

You can learn a lot about the retail industry. There is a sense of wanting to employ highly educated people. Senior management is very knowlegable. There is a desire among all employees to do well in their job and team work is encouraged. There is a lot of cross functional interaction.

Cons

It can be a competitive atmosphere. Depending on what area you work in your work can be regarded as unimportant. There are few career opportunities outside of the buying area which can be frustrating if you are looking to advance. There seems to be some politics in terms of promotions and firing which makes for a somewhat uncomfortable environment. However, this seems to be the nature of the retail business and may not be solely a Ross issue.
