Pros

Really have nothing positive to say of the store I was permanently assigned. I was, however, trained in a store that had a positive and competent staff. I spent my first week there and felt very positive about the experience although I was warned that the reputation of the store I was to be permanently assigned was much less than favorable. I felt I should make that assessment for myself.

Cons

I began by accepting a position way beneath my expertise because I was told management positions in the district were filled. Turned out I was transferred around for two weeks to other stores to be trained, three other stores. During this time, the store managers warned me that the store I was to be permanently assigned had a very difficult staff and absent management. I later found out that the manager lied and there were other management positions open ( I found this out when a manager from another store contacted me for an interview after I had accepted and started my position) The Store manager I worked with was rarely ever in the store and the supervisors were unprofessional, rude and overly competitive. It was immediately very apparent that they were unwilling to accept anyone new (including the Store manager) or to work as a team. The turnover is outrageous and for good reason. The associate's actually said they didn't bother to learn names because they were not used to people staying there very long. There was constant bullying and complaining the store was always a mess and in complete state of chaos and confusion. Associate's potential is never discovered or reached because no one wants to train them. It was absolutely the worst place I have ever worked and I have been in the field for many many years. to make a long story short I was never given a break there was never proper store coverage. Also to this day, and it has been months, I have yet to receive my travel reimbursement or my final paycheck.

Pros

Discounts, fast paced, friendly coworkers, can move up if you work for it. Flexible work hours if you have the crew.

Cons

Depends on the associates and managers to make it a good place to work. hours can get screwy if the wrong person is doing the schedule

Pros

The managers help you and are nice. Employee discount is 20%. I had a trip planned already for the weekend of my first week working here and the manager was very nice about letting me take that weekend off.

Cons

It was difficult working the cash register the first day with everyone else busy at their registers. Make sure that you find a solid blue (not teal) top before starting.
