Pros

Steady workflow, opportunity for growth (depending on department).

Cons

If you are a non-exempt employee benefits aren’t available to you for 6 months. Pay is very dependent on department, but I seriously think that my position in HR is the lowest paid position in the corporate building. Management treats employees differently depending on your title. The corporate politics that take place here are ridiculous! There are rules and policies that are enforced, unless of course you’re a director or VP-than you can do whatever the heck you want. Management plays favorites and treats everyone else like crap. The company is inconsistent with titles and salaries (there is another employee in my department that does the exact same thing as me, but has a better title, better pay and is a salaried employee), they are inconsistent with enforcing rules and policies. Management is overly demanding and there is no work/life balance. I would NOT suggest employment with Ross.

Pros

-Management is very laid back, very likable. -Atmosphere is laid back, very easy work, not stressful. -Coworkers are awesome to work with. -Team atmosphere

Cons

-They often call you asking if you can work HOURS ahead of time. Very irritating, bc they do not schedule for many hours in the first place so it is very inconvenient. -MINIMUM WAGE for sales associate. I honestly think you can find a better job doing the same thing that pays more. -Amount of hours you get fluctuate, not good if your living on your own, in college and have bills to pay.

Pros

Employees recieve 20% off any purchases

Cons

Dusty Unorganized Unknown 'clock out' time CONSTANT YELLING Condesending attitude toward employees Employees never do "satifying work" Unproffesional HORRIBLE PAY!!!!! (the stock room leader that JUST GOT PROMOTED has been there for 2 years, only makes $7.75/hr and did not recieve a raise for his upgraded job title) The stress level, pay, frustraton, and every other negative feeling is brought out ONLY REASON I'm still there is my mother is unemployeed, father on disability, and I need a way to pay for college w/ the minimum amount of debt as possible. Other employees stay for the simple fact they do not compehend the english language. Simply pathetic to be mentioned in the stock market!
