Pros

Won a lot of awards (they survey a lot). Pay is decent. Flex schedule but hourly.

Cons

CEO and upper management are not very involved with the company. The only time you hear from them is on quarterly "townhall" meetings. They never visit the offices in person to see what is going on or offer support. They are constantly coming up with changes and additional duties but don't add additional staff. They hire entry level people for the most part and have unrealistic performance standards for employees that have never worked in sales or recruiting or even in an office setting. Each office acts as it's own independent unit and lacks a real feeling of community despite their claims about "culture."

Pros

You can always see the trend of "five star" reviews once Corporate releases the wolves after a negative review. I refuse to be pressured into writing a review that in turn I would be rewarded for. First the surveys and now this? I am sure branches in and towards California have it 100 times better with local support. Either that or they are getting extra tokens??

Cons

Midwest is outcasted, we all feel it. Please know I out perform the competition and have a strong presence in this industry. All concerns addressed have went on deaf ears and many were retaliated against or let go. The truth is worth more than the pressure to write positive reviews in order to cover up the people speaking up!

Roth Staffing Companies has never requested employees to write a positive review. We have absolutely no way of knowing who has written a review on the Glassdoor site ... this is validated by the fact that you felt comfortable submitting an anonymous review knowing your identity would be protected. Therefore, there is no possible way for us to "reward" employees for posting "positive" reviews. The only communication Roth Staffing has sent out to coworkers is that we would like for the majority of comments about our company on Glassdoor to be from current employees - good or bad. People want to read reviews from current coworkers moreso than former coworkers. We have encouraged coworkers to submit reviews and specifically indicated that we expected to see both the good and the bad since Glassdoor asks for a Pro and Con. Glassdoor has contacted our company and encouraged us to send emails to coworkers letting them know that Glassdoor is a great place to share what it's like to work at our company and we have tried to follow their advice by offering our employees this online platform for discussion. We do genuinely appreciate your feedback and it is so valuable to see your uncensored comments about your coworker experience. We promise to do our best to make this the very best place to work for every coworker in the Midwest and nationwide.

Pros

No benefits from working for them.

Cons

They were very pushy from the beginning and made promises they did not uphold. This is a very unorganized company with horrible management and ancient systems, poor compensation and low ethics. Very rude and unhelpful and compromise quality- claims to be the best but cannot uphold their own culture and promise.

Some of our most engaged and thriving teams are in the Los Angeles market so we are surprised to see such a negative review from a current employee? We have notified your regional leader and we hope you will personally reach out to your Vice President to share your concerns. Every coworker should feel they have power in shaping who we are as a company. When you started, you should have been given direct communication with resources outside of your local team and a weekly call with a community of people with whom you can share your frustrations or get answers. We try to leave your experience in your hands and provide YOU with the ability to make your experience what you want it to be. We hear from coworkers all the time who share how refreshing it is to be at a staffing firm where they are not coerced or spied on every hour of every day. Although we provide activity levels and guides that will only lead to your personal success, we strive to offer the most ethical and empowering programs and systems. We certainly look forward to hearing from you and receiving input on how we can be better!
