Pros

Direct Manager relationships are sometimes very good and caring about personal growth opportunites, some offices have good teamwork environments.Good Med/Dental Benefits, good vacation accrual. In some markets, the company has good brand name recognition. Some managers motivate on common goals, desire to be the best. Good usage of marketing using Mission, Vision and Values to customers.

Cons

Pay rate is low, commission structure is poor, consistently too many job duties to do effectively with the amount of internal staff at the branch level, runs a too-lean organization in comparison to name brand staffing companies - no money for contractor recognition programs or small $5.00 or $10.00 gifts for clients such as donuts or Starbucks, no reimbursements for mileage for outside sales, sharing a common pool for bonus with co-workers who may not be contributors (i.e. lazy/full of distractions such as constant personal problems) is a bad idea, poor performers often keep jobs if connected well politically in the organization, company won't pay good account managers the market rates so that the branch has orders to fill. Upper management has a hidden agenda, so many secrets, whispering behind your back. Not enough manpower in the offices to actually do more than give lip service to Candidates Mission, Vision and Values goals. Corporate Management sometimes makes snap judgements and won't consider other alternatives. Worried about how long before the company is sold to another entity. Management uses fear to motivate which backfires in the long run.

Pros

Great fellow staff, solid training offered, they have the best intensions and offer fun gifts through the year to try and increase morale. Holidays off and quarterly volunteering

Cons

It is cutthroat. I was let go after 3 months to find out this is pretty common. Countless times recruiters i was Contacting had 3-5 months experience with Ultimate and it is due to there demands for performance. If you do not already have a network to pull from and you want something stable I would recommend going somewhere else. I signed a huge account and was laid off in the same day.

Pros

The company does take their commitment to charity very seriously, nice programs around community giving

Cons

Absolutely terrible applicant tracking/CRM system - a joke really, silly metrics and lack of any administrative help - I mean they staff Admin professionals but won't pony up to have someone answer the phones and handle administrative duties??

We agree. It's time for our old CRM system to go away and our IT team has spent the past 14 months aggressively engineering a state of the art system that will be implemented next month. We're very excited about that and know it will make life much better for our coworkers. We do, however, respectfully disagree that the metrics and reporting we use is problematic. We work hand in hand with all managers and coworkers to continually develop a process for success and a process for measuring that success. In your time at Roth, you received surveys and questionnaires directly from the CEO asking for input - and your feedback is used to fine tune the way we do business. Our CEO reads every ... single ... word of feedback from every coworker. Time and again, we've seen branch offices completely transformed as they become better at understanding and using the metrics to better their performance. Our end goal is for people to be on a winning team and succeed. As far as administrative help ... right this moment, there is an Experience Coordinator in the Baltimore office who handles the administrative duties and answers phones for that team. We have a solid business model that helps every office build their teams to include Experience Coordinators. Your anonymous review indicates that this is based on a former employment experience so it's possible that Baltimore was not aligned with the business model at that time? We are excited to hear that the programs in place for community giving were a positive impact for you. We also appreciate your feedback and advice on how to improve - it really is our goal to consistently inform and empower all our managers. Your manager absolutely has the latitude to make decisions that align with our core values. We see examples of this in our offices every day. We promise to continue ensuring this happens - and because your review is from the Northeast region, we will connect with the new senior leadership there to pass along your feedback so that it helps us make the coworker experience even more remarkable for those in our Mid Atlantic offices. Your input is valued and will make a difference for future and current coworkers.
