Pros

Free parking. Close to the canal for nice lunchtime walks and also 2 pubs and a bakery which are also good for lunch.

Cons

Everything else - I left after less than 6 months which should tell you everything you need to know. IT is poorly structured with the wrong people in certain roles. Old fashioned and reluctant to change. Lots of slopey shouldered people. Processes are limited and barely fit for purpose, those that do exist are treated with a cavalier attitude. Arrogant and aggressive to 3rd party suppliers. Had to chase HR weekly to get my resignation processed.

Pros

The people in the offices and factory are what makes it a nice place to work. Nice location and good core hours.

Cons

What was once a nice family environment gave way to a overbearing management structure that took away job security and long standing perks. Restructuring of departments and making people reapply to their own jobs based on decisions from people that pass through rarely and seem to have very little understanding of day to day life. The whole company seems to be a house of cards being supported by a now fragile framework of people who were once content but now feel under-appreciated and underpaid. Without these people the company would cease to operate and would go under, and directors don’t seem to realise that. Too many organ grinders and not enough monkeys. Staff allowed to leave the company, and instead of new recruits coming in - work is delegated on to those already overworked with no chance of increased pay as a result. Payrises each year below inflation, and made to feel we needed to be thankful for it. A once rewarding bonus scheme is now based on targets of which numbers seem to be plucked from thin air. You can meet al your personal targets and it doesn’t even make much difference. If sales are below the target line then you won’t get anything. This goes for everyone, even if you work in a department oh which you have no direct affect on sales. Meanwhile the CEO and directors continue to get given massive amounts of shares/bonus/dividends based on an entirely different set of targets. Carbon footprint being the biggest nonsense. Next to no chance of progression in your career. Side ways moves rather than upwards in most cases. A once successful apprentice scheme has now been scrapped. Not long ago people would stay there for 40 years. Once loyal employees now jump ship and turnover of staff is probably 2-3 years.
