Pros

exciting work, lots of variety, LOTS of responsibility, promotion is possible if you can stand to stick around that long, good experience to take to a better job

Cons

HIGH PRESSURE, HIGH STRESS, LOW PAY Sucks when you realize your friends at real companies work half as hard for more money and better benefits. No one has ever regretted leaving Roush. My biggest regrets- 1) not leaving at 5:00 each day 2) not quitting sooner

Our work environment at Roush is very fast-paced and many times there are periods of increased activity. Some projects require a great deal of attention, this includes an increase in commitment and hours. It is never our intention to overwork anyone and we would expect that our employees would discuss any concerns with their department manager, working together to find an amicable solution.

Pros

If you enjoy getting overtime it can be plentiful here.

Cons

Terrible management overall. Mandatory long days and weeks back to back without getting a day off. Has potentialbto be a great company but they do not appreciate employees at all.

Roush Enterprises is a company made up of committed employees, driven to exceeding customer expectations. Our culture is built by employees who are focused on meeting customer timelines which does necessitate overtime. This is balanced with challenging work, innovative solutions and rewarding achievements. As our employee handbook states, “Our goal is to provide you with good working conditions and competitive wages and benefits while preserving our excellent reputation in the industry, a reputation based upon doing the best possible job, on time and at a reasonable cost to our customers”. Roush’s 40-year history of excellence is a testament to our employees’ commitment to our customers.

Pros

The company has many locations in the Detroit, MI area. A variety of work possibilities.

Cons

You are expendable. Even as a direct employee you are treated as a contractor who can be kicked to the curb at a moments notice. If you are not working on a billable project for 5 days you will be laid-off. Their performance review system does not give fair evaluation of your work. DON'T EVER SIGN YOUR PR. The company is full of back-stabbers. Don't even think of working for this crappy company.
