Pros

-Exposure to fun toys -Minimum of oversight as long as you are getting your projects done -Great teamwork experience.

Cons

-You may be told that your initial offer is low, but that you'll receive prompt, regular work evaluations and that these will lead to pay raises; Even when you earn the top possible rating, you will not get any financial compensation increase. -Managers will ask you to work overtime "off the books". Working 60-70 hours per week while being paid for 40 was the norm. -Health benefits sucked. -Most employees don't make it long enough to get vested in the retirement program (3 years)

Pros

They claim to offer a flexible schedule but at the same time they impose a 2 weekend per month mandatory availability?

Cons

A minimum wage offered with absolutely NO raises even for excellent work. The only ones who get promoted are those that are total incompetent "yes men" who don't know North from South and will do anything they are told even if it is totally backwards. Too bad because it could be so much better than that. Lots of accidents due to a policy of hiring anyone that can fog up a mirror.

Roush Industries Response

Roush’s commitment to its customers is second to none. The test driver position is a very flexible position by nature, dependent on our customer’s needs and the availability of test vehicles. Asking employees to commit to 2 weekends a month provides Roush and its employees with flexibility to schedule work and time off as needed. Regarding promotions our employee handbook states: “Roush strongly believes in promotion from within the Company whenever possible.” The safety of Roush employees and the driving public is paramount and the extensive background checks and training completed by Roush and its vendors ensure only the most qualified drivers are allowed on the roads.

Pros

Diverse work. True engineering activities

Cons

Sr leadership have all been with the company for 25+ years. They are insulated from what is really happening inside, or outside, of the company. No sick days for anyone - must be approved with doctor's note!! That's 1 of many examples.
