Hard work but Rewarding

Pros

Like many people below me have said, working at roux is great. They really do have some of the most brilliant people working there. Sometimes the hours can be tough, but it is worth it when you finish a project and feel can proud of the work you submit. There are incentive programs, food, and company moral is high.

Cons

The incentive program is great for the project managers and higher ups, but sometimes falls short on the lower end. For example, if a project manager doesn't budget enough for your work, you may not be able to bill your time accordingly, which lowers your final bonus while keeping theirs higher. If you use your vacation days, it negativelyreflects on your utilization as a result lowering your bonus. Also the CEO isnt that friendly, he kind of ignores the lower people. Other than that, ROUX is a GREAT company to work at

A Pleasant Place to Work and Learn

Pros

I have worked in the Islandia office for 12 years. The opportunities to work and learn in a fairly fast-paced, friendly and cooperative environment has been extremely rewarding. You will advance through hard work, persistence and dedication. if you want to be rewarded for your hard work, this is the place for you.

Cons

A tight deadline can mess up your day, and possibly some of your after-hour plans, but you will usually feel satisfied when you submit a quality work product to your boss or client.

Pros

You get to work with some smart, bright people. Company has some interesting projects to gain very good experience on when first entering into the industry and has good training. The company also has decent benefits and good social activities to promote a sense of "family". Office is also nice and has a gym.

Cons

The company plays favorites. Many employees hard work go unnoticed and a couple climb to the top if they can ride the coattails of certain well liked employees who are on the inside track to success. All the pros are drowned out by all the complaints from fellow coworkers. There is always gossip going on with higher ups speaking bad about fellow coworkers. The company is very serious about billable hours. Working the normal 40-hours a week is frowned upon. If you ever leave work 15 minutes early one day, you will get in trouble because the senior management has eyes on everyone. No overtime.
