Pros

Great Code 2 Experience and how to give reports to nurses and engaging with other EMS agencies. Most of the partners you get are awesome.

Cons

A lot of the equipment and rigs are either old to the point where it's unprofessional or it has a lot of problems. Management often has a favoritism scale for potential promotions. Dispatch can sometimes give you a hard time if they're having a hard time when you've done nothing wrong.

We are glad Royal gave you a good start on your career in healthcare and wish you the best of luck and success in all your future endeavors. Re: “Management often has a favoritism scale for potential promotions” Our promotions awarded based on experience, attitude and, above all, merit - not favoritism. We have an extremely diverse and talented group of supervisors, managers and executives from a variety of backgrounds that all had to prove to us they deserved a promotion to get to where they are. Re: “Dispatch can sometimes give you a hard time if they're having a hard time when you've done nothing wrong.” If you are referring to a specific occurrence, we apologize for your bad experience. Dispatch can be a demanding and stressful job for anyone but even so that is no excuse to take your frustration out on others. The vast majority of the time, our EMTs and dispatch teams are super friendly to one another and make a great team! Re: Equipment We spend more money per new custom rig than any other ambulance company in the Bay Area. All of our equipment is to code, safety checked on a regular basis and if something is not in good order it is either taken offline & repaired or discarded & replaced . If you have any specific equipment issues you can bring to our attention, please reach out to us - the safety of our patients and our team are a top priority for us!
