corporate office is terrible. Management has no idea what there doing. You get no real training. Money and promotions isn't really there unless you wanna move.

Best reason to work at Ryder is the "second family" that you develop from contacts throughout the United States. Almost all are team-players and have great attitudes.

Cons

The only downfall to some locations at Ryder is the area location of a given manager. They can be located in a different state and you may rarely see them.

This job is a great resume builder and a good entry level position. You are granted alot of autonomy and are directly related to the business unit performance

Cons

The company is not filling any positions because of the economy, so this makes it difficult to be promoted. Training has also dropped off because of cuts throughout the company.
