      Pros

      Safety is a high priority - not just words, but actions back that up. Company generally tries to do the right thing by employees but does not always have the right information available to execute properly.

      Cons

      Salaries for professionals in finance, I.T., and other functional areas are low vs. peer. No raises in last two years. I.T. systems are very, very weak - management doesn't have the information at its disposal to effectively navigate challenging business environment.

      Pros

      Opportunity to advance if you qualify, fit within the culture, are ambitious, and work hard. Genuinely "nice" and knowledgeable people committed to the business.

      Cons

      Compensation can be less than mid-range if you don't come from a top academic institution or firm. It's hard to get out of that "less than mid-range" pay scale if you come in that way.
