Pros

The ONLY good thing is the commission structure, you can make a bunch of money by doing very little.

Cons

Where do I start.....Management is heads and above the worst I've ever encountered. Middle management is a revolving door and to have a new manager for each year you are with the company is a regular occurrence. Poor selection process is where it starts(if you are a big enough sucker to relocate and take a low paying, lower management position(LRM or BRM) you are automatically looked at before other more qualified options), Ryder only considers past Ryder experience (anything you do prior to working there is not considered and as far as Ryder is concerned never happened). Ryder breeds managers not LEADERS! You will never be coached, encouraged or praised for good work. Managers don't lead by example they show up late and throw thier subordinates under the bus at every chance they get usually to save thier own jobs. Salaries for sales and management are far below industry standard and unless you are at Director level or above your ideas and thoughts don't matter. Directors are selfish and get to decide if other departments can consider you for promotions always putting their own immediate needs above yours and your future. Reductions in work force(RIFs) are a yearly occurrence which typically follow inept upper management over promising share holders on unattainable revenue and sales figures. Benefits(health) are awful and expensive. I only recommend Ryder to those who need something to hold them over until they find something better.
