Pros
Good place to young college grads to start to get sound experience in business fundamentals and exposure to other industries (work there a few years and get out). Overall good people and safety comes first. Metric based scoring is good and processed based, but is emphasized too much .
Cons
Where do I start? Executive leadership does not provide the IT tools and manpower resources to get the job done in the Field. Expectations are "get it done with what you got!" We don't care if you have 3 Technician openings that you can't get filled...that's your problem. Too much emphasis on metrics/scorecards! High turnover in the maintenance ranks, not necessarily due to pay, but because of the poor IT, metrics, paperwork, and sense of hopelessness in doing all that is asked and required. Benefits have been cut over the years and are now "mediocre." No loyalty from senior management, and of course it cuts both ways, as there's no more loyalty from employees. The old guys still on the old pension program are just counting their days!
