Pros

Good culture. Constant opportunity for growth and development for those that want it. Management encourages employees to set goals and works with them. Great benefits.

Cons

Some management is stuck on the idea of hiring only people with industry experience. Vacation policy a little stingy when you are just hired if you don't negotiate.

Pros

Ryerson has a great work environment with talented people that are focused on creating value for the company and growing their careers. There is a strong focus on work/life balance and the stuffiness I've felt at other large "old school" companies does not exist here. I believe I've been given a lot of flexibility to work on projects that interest me and collaborate with senior management to drive positive change in the organization.

Cons

I think that compensation and benefits are in-line with expectations but not necessarily a strength compared with other opportunities in the market.
