Pros

None that I can think of. The company went from being at the top of the metals industry to the bottom very rapidly. New management has done nothing to resurrect the Ryerson brand they may in fact be making it worse.

Cons

CEO shares his political views in CEO webcasts, ridiculous Upper management is highly over paid while workers are underpaid. No concern for employees, the only thing management worries about is the bottom line No career advancement at all

Pros

the company used to care about its employees by providing excellent heath plan, good working environment, and cafe. No these anymore after Platinum took control of the company.

Cons

Low pay; bad benefit; no opportunity to learn and advance; poor communication; the company has completely lost its culture and value.

Pros

The mid to senior level long-time employees had a sense of personal and professional balance and took pride in the company's heritage.

Cons

The new ownership by Platinum Equity promoted a culture of suspicion and dissension associated with poor planning and knee-jerk overcompensation for market conditions.
