Pros

There are good promotion opportunities. There is a 401K matching program. Benefits start right away after employment. The company is now focused on personal growth and continue to work towards it. The atmosphere is exciting, fast paced and every day is different. The compensation is good for the industry and good starting pay. The company does not require an employee to put in overtime and become overworked; there is a good work life balance.

Cons

More vacation or PTO time would be nice. Some days can be to busy and there is not enough time in the day to finish everything, but it is nice not to be required to work past 40 hours per week.

Pros

Ryerson has created a great training program for new employees. Their compensation is competitive and they offer great benefits. With the training program, they set new employees up for quick career advancement within the company. Leadership is fantastic with giving direction and constructive feedback on a consistent basis. It's great to be working for a company that is at the top of their industry. CEO and Senior Leadership have a great vision for the future of this company and do a good job of making changes to move towards that vision. Ryerson also offers opportunities for relocation.

Cons

While having the opportunity to relocate can be a pro, relocation is almost a necessity for quick advancement within the company. This can be difficult with a family. Ryerson should offer full relocation reimbursement rather than partial since they want employees willing to relocate.
