Pros

Big company with interests in many industries, technologies or specialties so there is something for everyone. Pretty good work-life balance here.

Cons

Extremely big company that is very loosely organized, operating like a roll-up of many medium-sized businesses. SAIC, as a huge contractor, means that your job satisfaction depends very much on the customer you work for. Hard to feel really tied to the company compared to the customer you see and work with everyday. Feels like an in-between place to be where you're not really super invested in SAIC but not really a full member of your customer's organization either.

Pros

SAIC offers a great work/life balance. Management is flexible with allowing time off for personal reasons and is willing to work with you and your scheduled working hours.

Cons

SAIC is very top heavy. There is a lot of management, and it doesn't seem like they know what they are doing. SAIC has recently gotten this bad rep in the media that we cater to top military brass and reward them with lucrative jobs when they retire. I haven't witnessed this, but I have heard that top military brass is getting turned off by SAIC, and they are not just handing out contracts to us.

Pros

There are none. Only if you can't find a job doing anything else anywhere. At least at the St. Louis office. They lie to you on what your job description is when you get there you are doing something completely different.

Cons

The lack of professionalism, low employee morale, terrible benefits. Bad management of projects and workers. For a company that requires employees to have security clearances they sure do allow a lot of bad behavior. People throwing stuff, showing up to work drunk/high talking openly about drug use. For have strict dress codes they don't seem to enforce them if you are a woman or minority especially when it comes to piercings and wearing jeans. However this was all at their St. Louis office on Grand Ave. Other offices may be different.
