Pros

good benefits - the health benefits are ok when comprared to other companies. flexible hours allow employee to leave to run errands if needed or work from home a few hours if needed. good work envirownment - other co-workers are great to work with. Collaboration on work projects is good and communication with management above onoing projects is great

Cons

unfair pay raise, no bonuses, little recognition. There is no opportunity for career advancement. Very little feedback on how employee is performing and no raises according to performance.

Pros

Leadership programs, mentoring programs, technical career paths, high ethics and morals... It took a while for Corporate IT to catch up, but now they're making their own changes to streamline like is done within the ranks of the line organizations.

Cons

Corporate can't get a handle on pushing standards down to the line. The Beyster-mentality of everyone rolls their own leads to a disjointed approach to enforcing standards. Even with the few "standards" we have there are deliberate gray areas and the ability to make your own choice (as a sr level manager) ... but of course, that's one of the nice things too.

Pros

It is a stable job but you will sacrifice salery for it. I have been working for SAIC for nearly 5 years now and have just made the cost of living increase nessary to stay where I was to begin with was in the 2% range on salery. This company is more focused on getting more out of there employees and paying them less that rentention. Example you are required to log any comp time you work but you will not see any overtime pay, they simply charge the gov. for your hours and pocket the money not very ethical if you ask me.

Cons

Very underpaid. I'm in the lower 2% of comparable experience.
