Pros

The founders appear to be nice people. Lots of people have been there from the beginning. Easy to sell if you know how to open high level doors.

Cons

The nepotism runs rampant among the long timers. The long timers do not have fresh outlook because they haven't been out there in forever. The ability to assimilate fresh blook and thoughts is nonexistent and will be the demise of the company

Pros

I am thinking long and hard...and I have nothing positive to say about this SWEATSHOP. You won't even want your worst enemy to work for this horrible company. They fired a bunch of people in front of my very eyes at their first mistake....no 2 weeks notice nothing...just fire people at will. Yeah...nothing nice to say here

Cons

Sweatshop... Management doesn't appreciate your efforts ( even if you do 60+hrs per week) Treat people like scum Filled with prejudiced people... NO SDLC NO Software process CHAOTIC at best No doubt they will fail...Concur Government Edition ( horribly managed)...you are bound to fail.

Nepotism runs rampant at Concur!

Pros

Concur is very friendly, overall has good benefits (although their maternity leave sucks), and if you're in the right position (sales) you can do very well both professionally and financially. They are a growing company, so they can offer you job security and financial stability.

Cons

"Revenue generating" (a.k.a. sales) employees are really the only staff who are fully appreciated, recognized, and rewarded. "Non-revenue generating" employees (a.k.a. marketing, accounting, etc.) receive low salaries, miniscule pay raises (even when they are promoted), and are not allowed to attend the annual internal conference because they are not important enough. Sales continues to increase in head count, while all the departments who support sales remain the same and are therefore overworked and under appreciated. Nepotism plays a huge role in getting hired at Concur - you have to know someone to get your foot in the door. Your position has nothing to do with how much you know or have accomplished, and everything to do with who you know (or who you're sucking up to).
