Pros

not a hard job and can be very boring at times.

Cons

you call customer service and they cant even tell you whats in the warehouse. that's bad customer service but they are working on it. got there and no one knew very much about shoes and really wasn't focused on sales because its not commission. so why try hard to sell when you get paid the same to let someone walk out the door? manager had no clue how to train employees to sell. Doesn't follow policies in the handbook and low wages

Pros

There are no positive aspects to working for SAS Shoemakers.

Cons

SAS Shoemakers does not care about the life-safety of its workers. Moreover, SAS Shoemakers operates a factory in Acuna, Mexico, while touting its brand as being American-made. Work for SAS Shoemakers if you are a dishonest person who doesn't mind working in a store with blocked fire exits.

Thank you for your feedback. SAS takes seriously the safety of all workers and immediately investigates any and all safety issues or concerns. SAS would not put any employee in harm's way and prides itself on a safe work environment. Second, SAS operates two factories in the US - one in San Antonio, Texas and one in Del Rio, Texas. Right across the border from our factory in Del Rio, we have a sister plant in Acuna, Mexico that does perform certain operations (like hand sewing and stitching) on some of our styles, not all. The production there is limited and we acknowledge Acuna and its role in our operations on our website: SASshoes.com/Made in the USA/handcrafted.
