Pros

You have a job. You receive a pay check. Your fellow managers are friendly and supportive. Area Managers develop good relationships with middle managers.

Cons

Company wants to promote a "family" type working environment but operates in a cut throat manner. If you are of color and don't live in California, don't expect to move past Area Manager (kudos if you made it that far) and still receive support. There is no work life balance and they expect you to bleed the company.. Lastly, don't expect raises because there won't be any money in the budget!

Pros

some level of autonomy. If you put in 12-14 hour days you can move up the ladder at a decent pace.

Cons

extremely long days. Upper management has no idea how to interact with lower level managers or employees. They talk a good game as far as vision, but have no clue how to execute.

Worst Company Ever

Pros

They give you benefits, they suck but none the less you have them. SBM has great employees working for them.

Cons

SBM has vision, but they do not know how to execute. Management (divisional level and above) and the Corp team have no idea how to deal with people. They expect so much but give so little in return. They spend so much time interviewing and recruiting the best of the best but they insist in treating them as if they are failing, knowing very well that the site or project is better than it has ever been. They want you to be a manager, custodian, IT geek and an accountant all in one. This is by far one of the worst companies I have ever worked for. They do have huge clients, but even they know that this company bit off more than they can chew. Pay is the worst, you can easily go a few years without an increase or evaluation. This company insists on shining light on the negative, but fails to reward the positive. They are obsessed with the processes and the online management tool but we all know it will go into the archives as failed ideas. Once I reach the end of my rope my final words to the divisional manager, regional manager, CRM will be "Screw you!"
