Pros

SCAN currently has several remote positions.

Cons

Extremely heavier workload since expansion to AZ and NV. The company hasn’t hired enough people to support the expansion or to replace the amount of people who continue to leave the company. Your opinion is not valued under new leadership. The current workload expectations are unreasonable.

Pros

I truly believe the majority of people who work for SCAN believe in the mission and try to exemplify it as much as possible. They often promote from within and the pay for clinically licensed professionals is competitive.

Cons

Silos within departments result in duplication of work and poor interdepartmental communication. Senior leadership within some departments (specifically Healthcare Services) is a clique-ish group who all vie for the attention of the Senior VP. There is a good deal of favoritism and decision are often made based on emotion as opposed to what is best for business. If you are in the 'inner circle' you can pretty much get away with anything. There are Managers and Directors who somehow manage to spend 8+ hours a day doing nothing at all. Pay for lower level employees is sup-par and the company operates as if it's profits are poor (there was not one offsite Christmas party during all the years I was employed there) yet the CEO makes over $1M/year and GM's make over $500K/year. SCAN has seen an incredible amount of employee turnover in the last 2 years.
