Low EA pay

Pros

flexible schedule, work and life balance.

Cons

Pay seems below market value, annual performance pay is chump change, it’s actually insulting, leaders/hr having to challenge and question your worth when goals noted should speak for themselves and leaders should learn to stand up and support their EAs when it comes to annual pay increases just as we show up to support our executives each day. No matter how people may view calendar management full of demanding meetings, along with juggling other task, it’s still work. Work is work. Constant work. We are not valued enough. I speak for myself and for others here. If performance reviews are going strong, the pay is not reflected and if no other feedback is given when asked how can we improve performance where pay is matched. Leaders seem to be failing us in this area.

We regret hearing about your negative experience. While we understand that every experience can differ, the environment you described does not reflect the culture we strive to foster at SCAN—a workplace where our Rebels (employees) feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. We understand how important it is to feel valued both through feedback and fair compensation, and we take this feedback seriously. As SCAN continues to grow and evolve, we’re always actively reviewing spending and resource allocation with financial stewardship in mind to ensure long-term scale and stability for our members and Rebels alike. And while our rapid growth isn’t without challenge, we remain committed to listening, learning, and improving, and with 91% of our Rebels (employees) saying that SCAN is a great place to work according to our Great Place to Work survey, we believe we’re headed in the right direction. As part of this, our leadership also maintains an open-door policy to allow for candid feedback from all levels of the organization with the option to submit anonymously at any time. As you have moved on from SCAN, we wish you the best in your future pursuits.

Thank you for sharing. We understand that change can feel unsettling at times, especially as SCAN continues to go through a period of rapid growth. While this growth has brought necessary adjustments and organizational changes, it also represents a positive and exciting stage in our journey, allowing us to expand our impact, create new opportunities, and strengthen long-term stability for our employees and members alike. That said, as we’re always looking for ways to further strengthen our company culture, our leadership also maintains an open-door policy to allow for candid feedback from all levels of the organization with the option to submit anonymously at any time. As you have moved on from SCAN, we wish you the best in your future pursuits.

Pros

Co-workers and doctors I worked with directly were supportive and there for you if you needed help. The company provided you with enough supplies to do your job.

Cons

They claim to be a non-profit organization, but functions more like a "for profit company". The Sales team can be overly aggressive. EMR system less than ideal, need better charting systems to do your job. Management continued to pile on work, and exceed the maximum number of patients you are expected to handle. Often took work home most days and expected to be on call after a full 8 hour shift. When do you have time to sleep? I enjoyed caring for patients, but their motto of "Member Obsession" is dangerous message. As the unspoken expectation is for you to be there for the patients and company even if it means sacrificing your own health, well being, sleep, and time with your family. It is a shame really, because there are some great people that work here. This company could be really good if management cared about their employees health and well being as much as they do their patients. I would have stayed if this had been the case.

We regret hearing about your negative experience, but are glad to know you had direct support from your colleagues and resources to help you perform your role during your time at SCAN. While we understand that experiences can vary, the culture described does not reflect the environment we strive to foster at SCAN—a workplace where our Rebels (employees) feel heard, valued, and empowered to make a meaningful impact while maintaining balance and wellbeing. We’d also like to clarify something regarding your feedback on our “Member Obsession” way of working - this commitment is never intended to require employees to sacrifice their health or personal life. Rather, we believe the opposite is true. A healthy, balanced, and supported employee experience directly contributes to a positive member experience. This way of working is meant to serve as a guiding principle for empathy and service, not pressure or overextension. And with 91% of employees saying that SCAN is a great place to work according to our Great Place to Work survey—we believe we’re headed in the right direction. That said, as we’re always looking for ways to further strengthen our company culture, our leadership also maintains an open-door policy to allow for candid feedback from all levels of the organization with the option to submit anonymously at any time.
