Used to be a good place to work

Pros

- Worthwhile mission statement. - Nice people who are/were there to do good work and help members. - Decent pay and benefits package.

Cons

- High turnover. Massive erosion in culture and internal knowledge after exit program, layoffs, outsourcing of entire teams, good people leaving after they've had enough, etc. Explicit threat of replacement from offshoring + ai. - Top-heavy, too many cooks in the kitchen. Big influx of new executives (at the same time as the layoffs were taking place) given the directive to move fast and change things. Change can be a good thing when implemented with care, but this was chaotic and schizophrenic. Made anything you worked on feel stressful, unsustainable and ultimately performative over substantive. Tanked morale. - Micromanagement from the top-down. Obvious fear to generate more "efficiency" and "productivity" metrics to try to protect their teams.

Pros

So far, it’s been a refreshing change after my previous sales jobs. I like the culture, and it’s motivating to know that your work makes an impact on other people’s lives. Independence, freedom, and a lot of idea-sharing. Knowledgeable and supportive managers. Thorough onboarding.

Cons

Travel requirements can be intense.
