Weak Leadership and low salaries

Pros

They hire a lot of smart interesting people, which creates a great work place community. Work ours and remote work is a great plus for this organization.

Cons

Company just wants to make money, which moves the company away from the ideas of sustainability and environmental stewardship. The leadership is weak managers do not invest on employees and they leave frequently. They have very low salaries. They offer minimum to none career opportunity growth.

Great idealist company with structural challenges

Pros

The people are easy to work with, highly skilled, and very progressive. The programs are inspiring to be involved with. The company supports employees through a balanced work/life philosophy. Great benefits and 401K. A number of people have been there for years. Great reputation for honesty and scientific knowledge. Affordable services.

Cons

Leadership can stifle growth for the most part. Certain divisions are poorly structured and not balanced. Leadership has a tendency to make hasty decisions without firm research and program vetting. The actual work space is poorly designed and uninspiring. Not contemporary as compared to other workplaces. Hire turn over rate in certain areas of the company.

Great people/colleagues to work with Flexible work schedule because of different time zones, it permits being able to remote work and travel Healthy work-life balance, team encourages you to take breaks, work in a viable fashion - not a sprint, more a marathon

Cons

Pay is not most competitive Merit increases seem to just respond to inflation Pathway for growth, promotions or salary increases are unclear No transparency in salary structure
