Pros

The employees are great and in most areas, band together to do off site outings and develop collaborative working relationships. Most of the staff are young, energetic, intelligent and creative. The location is great for walks and public transportation. Most of the employees work remote (at home and/or out of state).

Cons

*Poor management skills *No clear expectations *Chaotic leadership with no clear direction *Extremely high turnover rate *Zero management training *Outdated technology *Dependent medical benefits only covered at 20% *EXTREMELY low pay for the Bay Area cost of living *Top down and very chaotic leadership with absolutely no direction *Zero transparency and constant in house backbiting *Management opportunities are gifted and not earned *Non-diverse culture: New ways of thinking and doing are not welcomed and may get you fired

Dead End Job

Pros

Good work/life balance Coworkers are frequently nice

Cons

Leadership does not care about employee development or advancement The relationships between the various leaders are dysfunctional and toxic. There is very little trust. This results in conflicting guidance provided to employees who are inevitably "caught in the middle." Salaries are low and benefits are poor; the explanation given to employees is that SCS is a "mission driven company" and "like a nonprofit" and so employees should be satisfied. SCS is not a non-profit, and is very much bottom-line driven, SCS' competitors are much more competent than SCS, so it must pay salaries like a nonprofit to even stay afloat. Casual sexism abounds. Steer clear of this place.

Thank you for your review! As the new Human Resource Director, I am working on improvements at SCS and your feedback helps me address the issues our current and former employees have. If you are open to more conversation confidentially, I would love to speak with you if you have a few moments? This will also let me have an opportunity to let you know the changes I have already made and get your valuable feedback. You can reach me directly at kcrochett@scsglobalservices.com.

Pros

Exciting, fast paced, conveniently located in Bay Area

Cons

Drama beyond belief. Management tone deaf to worker's basic needs. Little to no chance for advancing. Favoritism in most of the company. Abusive supervisors are tolerated by mgt.
