Pros

Steady pay check, pays overtime at time and a half. Considering the nature of the manufacturing, is relatively clean

Cons

Corporate management is totally detached from plant management and has a "one size fits all" approach. It has no concept of corporate culture, or how one plant's culture can be different from another based upon the hiring pool. Management within the plant doesn't even support each other, and frequently undercut each other.

Company paid insurance that is pretty decent

Cons

Snarky people in the corporate office. Huge wage and position disparity between men & women. Condition of elevator, lobby, and front office was embarrassing, while the CEO has his huge office remodeled.

Steady employment; new facility at Groveport.

Cons

High turnover rate with management and employees. Since they opened in July 2014, they had 5 Plant Managers, 2 Chief Operation Managers, 3 Manufacturing Managers, 3 QA Managers, 3 Maintenance Managers, and 4 HR Managers. With a turnover rate exceeding 100% in 2015; over 75% in 2016, there is obviously major issues. Both locations in Reno and Groveport experience major turnover issues. In general, managers/supervisors want to leave within a short period of time after being hired. Good managers have been let go unnecessarily or forced to resign. Tension and pressure from the corporate office makes it a stressful and demanding environment. Read other reviews before making a decision to work at SK Food Group.
