Roles can be a bit loosely defined. Overall IT is slow at getting things done and a pain to work with. It took them 7 months to get a new computer for someone who literally couldn't do part of their job. I had to go through management to get things I wanted done due to unwillingness to try new things.

There is a good reason why few people stay for long. Simply put, the company claims to promote from within, but examples are very hard to find. The few promotions that do happen, appear to be decided at the local bar... There are many little things that leave production employees feeling of low value. Professional is not a term that describes many of the people at SMC. Sooner, or later, there will be a VERY EXPENSIVE lawsuit.
