Financially, they do value paper degrees more than real world experience. If you have 10+ years of experience and no degree, good luck making more than a kid with a degree and no skills. They'll just dangle 4% raise in front of you while you do most the work while the kids with college degrees are lost in the work. The company is posturing to be purchased so that's why they rebranded the name to SMX and filling positions as fast as possible with unqualified people. Don't join for the long haul. Get in, get out. Once SMX gets purchased, who knows what will happen? Benefits are not the greatest or cheapest. I am a single income family with 2 kids. We struggled with the benefits. Program managers are merely therapists to listen to employee complaints. Nothing actionable comes from your input up the chain. HR is extremely woke, like most HR these days. If you are a white man, stay off their radar. You're guilty without a doubt.

I have never been part of an establishment that is so toxic. The contract I worked on was understaffed and we were completely overworked. The environment was extremely negative, starting at the top that bled down to everyone. Worked 10 hour days and was expected to perform well although we received zero training from the beginning. Couldn't trust anyone. Demanding and belittling people. Very high turnover rate. They might pay well but it is absolutely not worth the cost you pay personally. Zero work life balance.
