Great Company Being Swallowed Up

Pros

This used to be a great company: family work environment, performance measured advancements, wonderful work-life balance.

Cons

SNI was recently swallowed up by Gee Group, a much larger company that lacks the grassroots, family company environment. Gee Group is currently doing a deep dive audit and strategically clearing out space within SNI for their own top performers. New employees who haven't been given the time to prove themselves are being let go without any notice whatsoever. It's typical business during an acquisition, but that doesn't make those being laid off feel any better. And you would think that being an employment agency it would be smart business to actually help those you're letting go find employment elsewhere. That would have been a better off boarding experience for all. Now is not a good time to come on board this company.

I am so sorry to hear that you do not feel as though you were treated fairly during your departure from SNI. SNI Companies recognizes that there has been quite a bit of transition and change following the GEE Group acquisition of our organization a few months ago. We will always strive to continue to be a great company and provide a positive, family work environment, no matter what. GEE Group does share our same values, to include providing outstanding service and a positive environment for all associates. Pros

Working in a cat and mouse company.

Cons

If you like having a thumb on your neck and working in a sweatshop, joke of a staffing firm, then this is for you. Management is the worst in the business and has no idea how to run an office. Turnover is unbelievable. You have to pay for parking.

Pros

People in the office were nice for the most part.

Cons

Very limited training, management played favorites, high turnover (even compared to other staffing agencies), no flexibility, benefits were not good, and very cheap.

Here at SNI Companies we have focused a considerable amount of time and resources on our internal training programs over the past year and a half. It is concerning that you mention in your review “very limited training” when in fact the opposite is what we have strived for organizationally. I appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns and welcome you to reach out to me directly so we can discuss in more detail several components of your review which are alarming and warrant further discussion.
