Pros

Everyone I worked with was kind, if you are looking for a close work family this is the place as people are friendly with each other. If you are looking to learn more in sales then SNI Companies is a place where you can do that as an entry/junior level individual. This is a sales job, however there wasn’t any micro managing from the time I was there. As a Senior Recruiter I was able to get me work done.

Cons

Your success depends on some factors: does the team your on have a good book of business in terms of A clients or are they mostly C clients. There were times where Business Development Managers had C clients that took too long to decide or wanted multiple people to look at before making a decision (5 to 10). In this case this is on the BDM’s as they would keep these clients and ask for candidates when the recruiters knew it wouldn’t go anywhere. For clients like this just cut ties as they waste time. In terms of the focus this is a dynamic environment, however during weekly meetings management constantly change what they wanted our team to focus on in regards to contract or full-time positions. During the time I was there they kept saying focus on contract roles, however if our team didn’t fill any full-time roles management would mention this more then needed and be passive aggressive about it. Because this is a sales job the average day is 8 - 5, and if you want to get ahead you will need to work a total of 10-12 hours a day (on the recruiting side). However there were times were we didn’t have enough recruiters and the average req count was up to 49 reps per person and time management was a key factor to be successful and being able to drop C orders to fill A orders, (this did upset some BDMS). For cases like this recruiters would need to let BDMs know they will work on A orders before their C orders. Some BDMs understood and others got heated. In regards to pay it was average for the level, however wasn’t much room to be promoted within as individuals in management were hired outside the firm to fill these roles. If you are in with a manager then you will have a better chance to be promoted.
