Pros

People on your sales team were fun to converse with. Everyone was nice. Some real earnings potential (over 150k) if you got in at the right time and got the right accounts. Good spot to learn. Company is the undisputed leader in the market and will continue to become a powerhouse.

Cons

The nature of "getting accounts" makes it almost impossible for new employees to get serious earnings. Every enterprise account is already "protected" (even though the rep may not call on the account), which is not motivating for someone who is a better employee. Inbound leads are where top reps make most of their money, and those are given out by managers at their discretion. This leads to favorites, and a very political environment.

Pros

-- If you are salary there is lots of flexibility. -- Some managers are good.

Cons

-- If you have issues with another employee the issues will be ignored. If the other employee is a manger the issue is completely your fault. They do not hold their managers accountable for their actions. -- The sales team sells products with lies about what it can do, then people downstream have to deal with the mad customers. When addressed with management it is blamed on the customers. -- Recently laid off multiple execs then opened a new position for an exec. -- Training on some teams is horrid. Get thrown to the wolves and expected to not make mistakes. -- Teams are heavily Siloed and do not work together. -- Managers spend their days in meetings and don't have time for their teams.

Pros

- Interesting products and problems to solve - Free drinks at the downtown tower and discounted parking on-site. - The teammates you'll have - IF you get a good manager, they're solid and work to help you on your career journey. Big IF though.

Cons

- If you are an "engineer" at any level below staff engineer, you are not going to engineer solutions or solve problems. You'll be handed pseudo-code for an already solved problem and told to implement it how people above your pay level decided. You'll find out about program directions and things you're implementing as the sprints start sometimes. - To get promoted, you need to show ownership in something generally. This is impossible when the most senior folks on a team own and have planned every part of a feature. If you're just an implementer, you don't have "ownership" opportunities. Everyone on your team is told by their manager to "get more ownership" so any rare opportunity that comes by gets scooped up in an unhealthy competition with your coworkers. - When i left there was a push to be hybrid several days a week. - Managers change often, and there never seems to be a stable org chart for more than 9-12 months. I had 5 different managers in the 4 years I was there. - Management is only concerned about the burndown charts. Period. - Pay is meh, benefits are okay, promotions and advancement is a joke.
