Pros

SRA has a reputation for providing interesting and challenging work and treating its employees with fairness and respect. It has been my experience that the motto of "Honesty and Service" is taken to heart by the majority of its employees. The benefits package is decent, if not as generous as it used to be, and compensation is favorable compared to the market. The company is growing quickly both organically and through acquisitions that complement existing capabilities, and there are many new opportunities for career growth and advancement. Quality work is recognized and rewarded, though not always monetarily, as a bonus structure for non-managers does not officially exist.

Cons

The company is growing very quickly, and the majority of the growth is through acquisitions. With growth comes change, and much of the change happening at SRA is negative. Many long time employees are leaving, and morale is down. Recent changes to SRA's health benefits package were very poorly communicated, and many employees felt alienated by the implication that we were being poor consumers of healthcare and costing the company too much money by utilizing the health benefits that were provided to us. If the changes going on aren't managed better, I fear the company will quickly become just like another Lockheed or Northrop Grumman.
