* Basement level pay for portfolio accounting. Seriously, you can't find a lower salary for someone doing this job anywhere. There is a lot of turnover because everyone else takes similar jobs for much more money. * Benefits are bad and have only gotten worse. * You used to get stock options immediately, now you have to wait and they use it as an incentive to stay tool. But even then, it takes 4 years to vest. * Truly an archaic system for raises and promotions. You can only get raises in October. No matter what. It's no wonder attrition is so high as upper mgmt continues to ignore what the market will bear outside of SS&C. The hubris of giving one person the ability to say no to every single out of cycle raise is insane to me. * There really is no emphasis on hiring from within and increasing human capital. This does and will continue to hurt the firm.

HR is just BAD and needs to be cleaned out! We are heading in the right direction but lots more work to be done there. Most of us in the know are surprised it took this long. You can only look the other way for so long. We need sharp and we need no nonsense.
