A long time employee who finds myself embarrassed

I joined Advent eight years ago. Some of my closest friends work along side me. Most tenured employees with tell you that it is the people that make Advent great.
Cons
The last year has been disheartening to say the least. Senior management, people I use to admire and look up to, have proven to be different beasts than I once thought. I have to say that the lack of professionalism around a certain personnel issue has left me shocked, disappointed, and down right embarrassed to work here. I use to believe that senior management was blissfully unaware of the favoritism that went on. I have come to learn that they are the biggest offenders. I have watched people work harder than most, take on other people's work load. They have done so thanklessly while people who sit back and place themselves in the right place at the right time receive undeserved accolades. The CEO seems to be taking orders from someone else - sad. Your office is a visible one.
