Pros

Staff recruiter was very friendly and professional. Interview process was quick and simple. They made me feel welcomed and it was natural for me to talk to both the recruiter and interviewer. Even when going in for health screening the staff was very kind and wanted to get to know me, they were so pleasant and excited for me to join the team. I appreciate all the support so far!

Cons

I have none to speak of, I had clinical at SSM Health and not only did I have a great experience but now I get to give that same experience to future student nurses.

Pros

Family environment, staff truly cares about their patients and co-workers. Faith based organization that lives it's mission.

Cons

Employees weren't a focus many years ago, leaving an insurmountable task of trying to be financially solvent while solving for severely lagging compensation structure. They are trying but it is slow and costly, not sure they will ever be competitive. Most administrative departments are severely understaffed to be effective.

Pros

The pay is decent and if you get into the right group you'll have additional extras like wearing jeans on Fridays or choosing how you want to work your work week.

Cons

There is no leadership by example anymore. They just tell you what they want you to do but they do not do the same. Nor do they live out our mission and values like the previous leaders did. The only people living out the mission and values are those with direct patient care. I haven't seen leaders held accountable for several years now. It depends on where you work, you could get extras like wearing jeans on Fridays or you can choose how you want to work out your work week. For example, 4 ten hour days, 4 nine hour days and a half-day, or the regular 5 eight hour days. But if you don't get into a group like these, you just watch from the sidelines. It's pitiful. And it's all one organization but the days of treating every one the same are clearly over.
