      Good PTO accrual, easy to get started

      Cons

      Does not want you to use the PTO you’ve accrued, does not pay well, revolving door staff, demotes large groups of employees periodically, takes away benefits at random

      They have too many traveler nurses

      Teaching hospital so lots of fresh perspectives on healthcare

      Cons

      Too many travel nurses. Still short staffed. The pay is awful since they are dragging their feet about finalizing a contract with the union. Many nurses moving to other systems. Ssm just hires traveler nurses instead of replacing with full time staff

      Pros

      Very good work life balance.

      Cons

      Too many people off at same times, making more work load for others. Way too much gossiping and bullying and when brought to management, it just gets swept under the rug. Very toxic work environment.
