Pros

Great friends made. Most everyone has a pretty good understanding of what they need to give to the Administration portion of the Foundation Employees to complete their work.

Cons

Foundation has no place to advance to. Pay has decreased and 401K contributions taken away. We are watching it become a weaker and weaker company. And we are paying the price for it.; The leadership is letting us pay the price. No apologies. No offers of other jobs.

Pros

I work at St Clare in ICU. My coworkers are the best. Teamwork is better here than in any other hospital.

Cons

Overstaffing. Over the past 8 weeks, I have been called off at least one shift per week, sometimes two. I have used all my PTO and now every day I get called off, its without pay. The call off system is flawed. They only call you off 4 hours at a time, so you are basically on call without any on call pay. I am looking for another job.

Pros

Fellow employees (non managerial) are there because they care for kids. Great group of people to work with! Decent benefits if you are full time despite recent major cuts.

Cons

Management (& there are so many of them!) You cannot transfer after 6months from your department if you choose and are hired in another department. You're manager can deny the transfer. Managers can issue "levels" or "write ups" with no previous warnings (verbal or written) disqualifying you from your meager yearly raise ( that has been removed past 2 yrs regardless due to 'cutbacks') Mandatory time off when census is low regardless of the fact it has no bearing on your department. No checks and balances on certain areas and overdone in others.
