Short-staffed, mismanagement, deep distrust for employees, frequent meetings with management about money and cutting costs, night shift differential is low in comparison to other hospitals in area

There is a chance to grow your skills professionally as you put in your time.

Cons

Ever since SSM became more of a profit-minded corporation than a community oriented healthcare organization, the morale of the employees has plummeted. Money is a top concern for the company, and this shows in the way benefits have been taken away from employees, and they are told to try and "do more with less". There is little to reward employees who go above and beyond their required duties, and much favoritism exists at the expense of other team members.
