Pros

They truly care about the health of their patients, and want staff to be considerate to everyone. They ensure that we receive the training in CE. They will do an annual review and offer a raise based on performance.

Cons

Nurse to patient ratio, however, that is in most hospitals. For those with kids, the call in/sick time amount allows for 4x a revolving year. If you are sick in February, you do not receive another sick day back until the following February. You may call in 2x for each sick day. The week long orientation is definitely drawn out, but a requirement. If you were ever to take time off, and then come back, you'd have to participate in orientation again.

Pros

Great co-workers and Nurse educators, Overtime available if you want it, affordable health insurance, Clean and updated hospitals

Cons

Requiring new grads to sign a 2 year contract (should only be 1 year), lack of advancement opportunities unless you know multiple nurse managers, hard to get off night shift once you are on it
