      Although immediate Team leader and Director are outstanding, upper management is paternalistic and elitist

      Pros

      Co workers are dynamite and immediate management is outstanding.

      Cons

      Frequency of low census days, insurance is only fair with dental being totally inadequate. Received no raise for 2014, but upper management added another upper management position. Upper management is very much an old boys club and anti nursing. eliminated celebration of National nurses week , but maintained physicians appreciation day Hires too many anti christian physicians, which is inappropriate for a catholic faith based and owned hospital

      Pros

      Great bosses, nice little team building events.

      Cons

      pay for my degrees and years of experience was not good and there are 95% women that work here that are older and have to be in everyone's business, people yelling at people in their offices really loud and all the women that have seniority micromanage all the younger ones to an extreme point.

      Pros

      Benefits are great. Coworkers are generally positive and loyal toward one another. I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop solid skill set.

      Cons

      Work-life balance stinks. My experience with mid-level management is that they're either over-bearing or woefully incompetent. The once fairly positive culture is now muddied since the merger with SSM.
