Outsourcing Pros ... anything that can be outsourced, is outsourced regardless of the outcome.

Pros

The engineers and technical staff are great to work with, local staff are great and very skilled. Local management is sympathetic to technical employee needs.

Cons

Very conservative corporate culture that does not necessarily fit with some of the client values and cultures. Corporate policies skirt some of the local labor laws.

Pros

Competitive salary, decent benefits. At one time this company was a model for growth and opportunity.

Cons

Age discrimination, old boys network. Change in management style becoming focused on succeeding at all costs, without regards to ethics or honesty. Now a model for outsourcing and a microcosm of everything that is wrong with America-short-term thinking, instant gratification, focused on the next big pie-in-the sky project while ignoring the older clients that made you what you are.

Great company to work for. Caring people who are passionate about their work. Exposure to exciting and high profile projects.

Cons

Seem to hire mostly within and most managers and board level execs come from engineering backgrounds. Can be slow and conservative.
