Pros
Loved my coworkers, physicians, managers, pharmacists, etc. Most everyone was passionate about the field and experienced in it. Wealth of knowledge available for feedback. Staff very good at deescalating.
Cons
Very high patient ratios, often not nearly enough help for techs, and as a result much of the day is spent chasing fires. Or lost belongings. Or trying hard as one might to pass meds in an appropriate time frame. Paper charting time consuming, difficult to read rushed handwriting, and documentation frequently gets lost. Visitation time always chaotic. Very stressful.
