Safe Haven used to have empathy for their employees. They USED to stick up for their technicians and would accommodate them if they had a family matter to tend to. Those days are gone. In the past year, they changed management and they don't care about their technicians. They only care about the bottom line. Have your kid sick? Sorry, you need to make accommodations or you may not have a job the next day. You want to use paid time off that you earned? Sorry, you can only use it a day or two at a time. We are poorly structured to handle a technician taking a full week or two off, even if requested well in advance.
Management does not back their technicians and there is no advocate for a healthy work/life balance. Management will go out of their way to make sure that your job is priority over anything else in your life.
As a technician, they will work you as often as they legally can to the edge of burning out.
They have 2 sets of sales teams, those that foster relationships with realtors to get homeowner referrals and then pinpoint marketers (a.k.a. door-to-door salesman). The door-to-door reps will misrepresent what the systems capabilities are frequently because many of them are untrained to the functions of the product. They just want a signature on the contract.
Sadly, Safe Haven has taken the business model that is also used by Defender (another ADT dealer). This is not a good thing. It's horrible. Who wants to work for a company that might pay well but doesn't care about you having time to spend with family or friends? The cons outweigh the pros, by far.

As a customer, yes, they provide adequate service but be careful because the sales rep may not be very knowledgeable about the capabilities and when the technician installs what was agreed upon, he is required by the company to try and upgrade you (at risk of his job, if he does not).
This company is an example of why unions should still be around. Mistreatment of employees is standard procedure.
