Pros

The pay is reasonable, at 12.00 an hour and weekly pay, it's easy to see why this is definitely a pro. If you take any of the glass splits, it also gets dreadfully slow after 5pm so working a later schedule is super easy- you get paid to take maybe 5 calls a day.

Cons

Biggest problem with safelite is that there is no bonus incentive. Most call centers have one and it definitely helps with performance and moral, rather if you work hard to meet all of your metrics you can eventually make an extra 50 cents after taking the proper split(s). Currently as the Rio Rancho center is new, they are still getting some issues worked out. I worked there from the time the center opened in February of 2017 up until just recently in February of 2018. During that one year time with Safelite, I had 5 supervisors, and I didn't know many of them were my supervisor until right before they left or I was reassigned. Biggest issue with Safelite: it feels like there is an overabundance of people who take the glass splits and very few who take FNOL. I worked the later shift and towards the end of the day, there were perhaps 4 or 5 other reps taking FNOL and another 20 or 25 taking glass. It could be that FNOL is the more stressful of the 2 and therefore people in the FNOL split leave early because of that. Every FNOL representative I know or knew dreaded every single call. Hiring more FNOL dedicated representatives would be a great thing for the company to do, to unburden the load on the current reps , cut down on hold times for the customer and ultimately take more calls.
